Research Assistant in Embedded Software Development

Contract length: Fixed Term for 12 months

Built Environment and Sustainable Technologies (BEST) Research Institute within the Faculty of Engineering and Technology have funding to develop software programs to perform a group of coordinated functions, tasks or activities to control embedded hardware. The role provides the unique opportunity to work with a driven and hardworking research team within the University, along with industrial partners. The post will involve the development and validation of software programs for monitoring and controlling designed embedded platforms. You will be self-motivated with a proven record of accomplishment in a relevant engineering discipline.

You will be able to thrive in a team environment, provide help to other members of the team, and contribute to a positive atmosphere in the institute. You will possess excellent communication and customer service skills.

You will ideally have a degree in a relevant subject (or equivalent experience) and ideally have experience of working in a similar or related environment
