Senior Technical Officer - Music

University of Hertfordshire - Creative Arts/Creative Arts Technical

FTE: 1 FTE working 37 hours per week

Main duties & responsibilities

  • The post-holder will provide practical ‘hands-on’, Music and School technical services and support to meet a wide range of staff and student individual and group needs in connection with the learning and teaching, research, business engagement and other work of music and related studies within the School of Creative Arts.
  • They will prepare and maintain Music and School facilities, equipment and software for timetabled teaching and research.
  • The post-holder will assist with the supervision of a team of student proctors.

Skills and experience needed

  • The post holder will have good technical, communication and problem-solving skills. Experience of working in an educational environment would be an advantage.

Qualifications required

  • The post-holder will be educated to ‘A’ level or equivalent (or have equivalent professional experience), ideally in a related subject. The post-holder will also hold qualifications in music or related subjects.
