Kent Business School (KBS) are currently looking for a dedicated scholar who is keen to make a strong contribution to teaching and research as well as our student enterprise and business engagement activities.

As Senior Lecturer in Finance, Banking and Innovation you will support the current provision on Finance and Banking related modules on the MSc Finance and our undergraduate programme in Accounting and Finance at our Canterbury campus.

As Senior Lecturer in Finance, Banking and Innovation you will:
  • Deliver and contribute to the design of high-quality, demand-driven and student-centred taught programmes; to provide academic leadership and assume roles of responsibility within the School or the University.
  • Undertake research and scholarship, independently and collaboratively, and provide leadership to more junior academic colleagues within the group and the School as required.
  • Prepare articles of world-leading and internationally excellent quality for submission to refereed academic journals and grant applications, or engage in scholarship at the forefront of the discipline.
  • Engage in or lead efforts to attract contract research or consultancy funding with a focus on Banking and Innovation.
To be successful in this role you will have:
  • PhD (or equivalent) in relevant area – awarded or near completion.
  • Teaching experience in entrepreneurship.
  • Evidence of income generation, e.g., through research grants, enterprise activity, consultancy, etc.
  • The ability to design taught programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including executive education programmes.
