Student Adviser - LJR0019-1

Brunel University London

We are seeking a pro-active, professional and enthusiastic individual to join an established team of Student Advisers. This role requires multi-tasking and the post holder will be expected to deal with a wide variety of enquiries and administration across a continually growing range of services.

The Student Centre is a busy front facing department handling over 100,000 enquiries and requests each year.

The Student Adviser will be responsible for the effective provision of guidance, information and administration for all students; undergraduate, postgraduate, short course and research. The Student Adviser will regularly need to liaise with colleagues across the University as well as staff from external agencies.

This role depends on the confident use of multiple databases, often simultaneously; therefore good IT skills are essential. A sound familiarity with Microsoft packages, plus some user knowledge of other bespoke systems would be an advantage, in particular, in student record databases e.g. SITS, e-vision. Additionally, experience of working in a call centre environment, and use of a CRM system would be beneficial. This is an excellent opportunity if you have a particular interest in the Student Service provision and want to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

This position does not meet the University criteria for Tier 2 sponsorship
