Kent Business School are seeking a Graduate Admissions Assistant to provide specialist knowledge, administrative support and be involved in every aspect of the admissions and offer process, from enquiry to student enrolment. The role is high volume and very process based, involving extensive use of the University’s enquirer and applicant database.

You will play a key role in supporting the School's Graduate Admissions Team to ensure that KBS and the University, achieve recruitment targets in line with policies, processes and practices.

As Graduate Admissions Assistant you will:

  • Provide up to date, clear, accurate and consistent advice to all enquiries made direct to the Kent Business School via a range of channels and stakeholders in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Undertake a range of tasks to ensure postgraduate applications are maintained and updated accordingly throughout the admissions cycle ensuring service level agreements are met in order to meet both School and University targets.
  • Review, assess and make formal decision on all postgraduate applications received for Kent Business School in accordance with the School’s and University’s admissions protocols.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Previous experience of maintaining student records / databases.
  • The ability to work on multiple tasks, manage time effectively and determine priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Experience of working in a front line customer focused environment and be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
  • GCSE, A Level or equivalent.

Kent Business School is the largest school within the University and the Faculty of Social Sciences. The role is based within the Professional Support Team whose primary function is to provide administrative management and key services that support the infrastructure, decision-making processes and strategy of the School.

The administration of the School’s teaching and research activities is supported by 45 full-time or part-time professional service staff at the Canterbury and Medway campuses.

Programmes Administration, Graduate Admissions, Student Success, Student Support, Finance, Employability and Placements, Marketing, Research Management, External Services, ICT Support and Operations and Administration are all functions that make up the Kent Business School Professional Services Team.
