Research Fellow in Human-Computer Interaction

Abertay is a modern university with a global outlook, rooted in its local and national communities. Recently we marked the 125th anniversary of our foundation as an institution dedicated to supporting science, industry and the professions with a distinctive interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary approach to teaching, research and knowledge exchange. 

The University now seeks to appoint a Research Fellow within the School of Social and Health Sciences, commencing April 2018 or soon thereafter. The School of Social and Health Sciences delivers programmes and applied research in the areas of, mental health nursing, counselling, psychology, sociology, and sport and exercise. There has been significant growth in the School’s research output in recent years. The School is further developing its provision and seeks to establish a centre of excellence in mental health nursing and a Dundee Academy of Sport.

This post is for a Research Fellow who will work on the H2020 project PIE News. The research fellow will support the implementation and evaluation of an online reputation system from the Collective Awareness Platform ( ).

The role requires you to have knowledge of at least one (or more) of the following: ruby programming language, dynamics social network analysis, visualisation and interfaces.

The candidate will work both independently and collegiately and be able to demonstrate good interpersonal, organisational and communication skills and have an ability to take initiative.
