The Institute for Conflict Cooperation and Security (ICCS) is a research centre located in the School of Government and Society and is seeking to appoint a part-time administrator for 14.5 hours per week for a 2 year fixed term duration.

The post holder will provide a professional and proactive general administration service to support the work of the ICCS, its Director and Deputy Director and other ICCS colleagues as required. This will involve organising, servicing and monitoring the action points emerging from meetings; provide administrative support to ICCS initiatives, organise placements and provide ICCS events support. The post holder will make extensive use of databases and filing systems in the proactive management of data and will regularly collate and prepare information for colleagues from within the ICCS.

The successful candidate will be educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent, including at least a Grade C in English and Maths, with accurate, fast and efficient word processing skills, demonstrated by RSAII or equivalent qualification or experience. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and have demonstrable experience of organising and supporting events/meetings with a positive, flexible and proactive attitude to completing tasks.

Full time starting salary is normally in the range £19,156 to £20,514. With potential progression once in post to £25,009 a year.
