Based in the Institute of Health and Society this role focuses on researching Type 2 Diabetes remission. You will develop, conduct and manage elements of research, as well as provide training, mentoring and support to primary care health professionals. Other duties will include collaborating with all members of research teams to deliver study protocol, and presenting research findings at appropriate scientific and professional meetings.

You will be a registered dietitian with a first degree in Dietetics or a postgraduate diploma in Dietetics. A PhD in a relevant subject or equivalent experience is also essential. You will have clinical experience in diabetes and weight management, and experience of audit/clinical project work.

You will have the ability to contribute to the development and progression of research objectives as an individual or team member, including the effective planning of research tasks. Excellent interpersonal and teamworking skills are essential, as is the ability to maintain confidentiality and protect research/personal data according to protocols. You will have the ability to work flexibly and co-operatively with others and also to be relied upon to work independently.

Please note that this is a full time role (37 hours per week) however a job share would be considered (2x 18.5 hours per week)
