University of Salford - Academic Business Development Office (ABDO)

Part of the International and Regional Development Directorate, the International Office is responsible for supporting the delivery of the University’s International Plan, focusing on three international aims: growth and diversity, global impact, and global citizenship. 

The International Office is an integrated professional services unit with expert teams dedicated to the successful delivery of the University’s internationalisation agenda. The International Office supports the Academic Schools in a wide range of global engagement activities, including: international recruitment for on-campus and off-campus students, managing overseas representatives and partners, working with services across the University to support the international student journey, from enquiry and application to enrolment, as well as supporting international opportunities for students and staff across the University. The International Office is led by the Associate Director: International Office, and supported by the Head of International Recruitment, and Head of International Partnerships who manage a team of staff delivering targets on international recruitment, international partnerships, and mobility 

The post of Head of International Recruitment provides an exciting opportunity to play a significant role in the development of the University of Salford’s international ambitions and delivery our ICZ internationalisation priorities. 

Working across the International Office and University, you will have responsibility for a wide range of international student recruitment priorities including: regional strategy development; agent and channel development; marketing, enquiry and lead management; programme and policy development; and recruitment partnerships. 

You will have proven experience of operating at a senior level within the HE sector across these areas. The role requires strong people management and project development skills as well as the proven ability to develop relationships with a wide range of contacts including academics, senior managers, business, Government organisations and partners both in the UK and internationally.
