Periodicals Assistant

The Role

The post holder will be working alongside the E-Resources Librarian, and teams across the Library, to identify duplication between electronic journal content and print holdings, and will contribute to the planning and processing of any potential withdrawals from stock.

To succeed in this role you will need to have a methodical approach to work combined with excellent attention to detail and ability to monitor own accuracy effectively. Previous practical experience in an academic library context paired with knowledge of techniques and relevant standards involved in the creation of bibliographic records including MARC21 and AACR2 would be an advantage.

Senate House Library is the central library for the University of London, and the home library for the School of Advanced Study. We offer access and research support to collections covering Arts, Humanities and Social Science and are home to a number of unique and distinctive Special Collections in the heart of London’s student and research community.
