Library Services Manager

University of Salford - The Library

The University of Salford Library is a bustling 24 hour operation where learning is at the core of everything we do. Yes, we still have the books, the archives and the DVDs, but our library is the beating heart of campus that works to provide unique learning spaces for every student.

Approximately 850,000 students visit the library each year and if wanting to be part of their story excites you then keep reading. If you feel you can own responsibility for three floors of flexible learning spaces that are interchangeable based on student/customer demand, can develop a significant number of talented colleagues, and improve service delivery then we would love to hear from you.

The University has recently invested over £6 million to refurbish the library and you will form part of a team to ensure that investment transforms our customer experience from good to great. Having a strong people and customer focused background is essential, but no knowledge of Library Services or Higher Education is necessary.

If you would like an informal conversation to learn more about this exciting role then please contact Alex Heyes, Head of Library Services on 0161 295 0022.

Please note that this vacancy will close at 23:59 on the date provided.
