You will develop and maintain the sports grounds and athletics facilities, both natural and synthetic, to the standards of the respective sporting organisations for the use of the University and its commercial customers.

You will have ideally completed a recognised sports turf maintenance training programme to NVQ 3/ Institute of Groundsmanship Diploma or equivalent.

You will have proven practical work experience in sports turf maintenance/ groundsmanship gained within a similar role.

This position deputises for the Head Groundsperson in his absence.

To assist in the organisation of resources and practical clearance of snow and ice on campus.

Must be able to work flexibly when sports fixtures require out of normal hours or weekend work.

Please note: this role will involve driving University vehicles. In order to be covered by the University Vehicle Insurance Policy, you must be in possession of a full UK or EU equivalent licence, which has been in force for at least 1 year and have no serious driving convictions (any period of disqualification must have expired by at least 1 year).
