Microbial Bioelectrochemistry Technician - D114077T

We are seeking to appoint a research technician with experience of electrochemical or microbial bioelectrochemical systems to work on Resource Recovery from Wastewater using microbial bioelectrochemical systems. The project forms part of a £6.5 million UK Natural Environment Research Council funded initiative on resource recovery from waste.

The project is a collaboration between the School of Natural and Environmental Sciences and the School of Engineering at Newcastle University and is focussed on cathodic reactions for metal recovery and microbial electrosynthesis of organic compounds.

You should hold an HNC/D level qualification or above in a relevant subject area (e.g. chemistry, electrochemistry, chemical engineering) and have experience of electrochemistry and construction and operation of electrochemical cells, data logging etc.

This post is fixed term for a duration of 6 months.
