Senior Library Assistant

University of Southampton - Students Education and Skills

The University Library has an opportunity for a Senior Library Assistant to join the Students, Education and skills division.  This part-time post is based in the Hartley Library on the University’s Highfield site.

You must be able to work with minimal supervision, organise workflow to agreed targets, take the initiative in problem-solving, determine priorities and meet deadlines. You will have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and will provide assistance and support to team colleagues in day to day activities. A good level of computer literacy is essential, as is the ability to work with a high level of accuracy.  The principal focus of the post will be support for teaching and learning.

This is a part-time post available for 21.5 hours each week, with flexibility as to the specific pattern of work
