Abu Dhabi Polytechnic was established by the Institute of Applied Technology in 2010 to offer a dual educational-professional training system with multiple high-tech disciplines (specialisations) to produce technologists and engineers to serve the UAE industrial manpower required for Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030. The Air Traffic Management (ATM) program at AD Poly provides world class training leading to a two year and a three-year higher diploma degree in Air Traffic Control and Management. The programs embed ICAO approved curriculum. Graduates earn academic degrees and professional licenses in their perspective fields to practice and be equipped for life long learning. Faculty are expected to provide effective instruction in ATC using the learner based approach to teaching. Faculty play a major role in preserving and shaping institutional policies, and by being active participants in the academic and non-academic life of the students.

Requirements of the role:

  • A Master degree in Air Traffic Control or related aviation area. A PhD degree in related area is preferred;
  • Air Traffic Control teaching/training experience;
  • Work experience as a Terminal Controller, Air Traffic Controller or En-route Controller;
  • Working knowledge of the Federal Aviation Administration or related entity;
  • Approved ICAO ratings in Aerodrome Control, Approach Control and Procedural/Radar Control;
  • Ability to teach all levels of an ICAO based ATC type program;
