Lecturer in Work Based Learning

The Faculty of Health and Wellbeing delivers a wide range of pre and post-registration health and social care programmes.  An opportunity has arisen in the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing for an enthusiastic, registered health care professional with contemporary understanding of work based learning in health care professional education to join our growing Work Based Learning team. In this role, you will work to further enhance our strong partnership with work based learning providers to enhance and further develop high quality work based learning environments including support for students and supervisors during work-based learning experiences.

You will be actively involved in promoting an awareness of the changing requirements of work-based learning environments within programmes leading to professional registration and you will contribute to emerging professional and inter professional developments within the faculty.

You must hold a first degree, preferably, in a health related subject and have a sound understanding of work based learning in health care in the context of UK practice as well as experience of both practice and academic assessment of students.  Recent experience of supporting learning in work based learning environments is also required.

You will have excellent networking, presentation and communication ability and have skills in the teaching/facilitation of learning and assessment of students.  You will need to show initiative, be innovative and work effectively within a team. You must be professional in your approach and able to work to tight deadlines. You must be a car driver.
