Major Gifts Officer

Aalto University is seeking an energetic and ambitious fundraising professional to join our dynamic team and be a key contributor in taking our fundraising to the next level. In this new role, you will cultivate, solicit and steward prospects and donors especially outside of Finland, building our international presence and advancing game-changing efforts of Aalto in technology, business, art and design.

At Aalto, fundraising is about rewarding collaboration and working together with our donors to build a better future. You act as an account manager to our major donors, working with them in a client driven, professional, systematic manner. You excel in a global context and build relations with emotional intelligence and cultural competence. You will work tightly together with University leadership, corporate relations, alumni relations and other ambitious stakeholders in our community.

To succeed as our new Major Gifts Officer, you have experience in fundraising from an academic context and ability and passion for building mutually rewarding relations in a multinational setting. You have a Master’s degree and are fluent in English, while other language skills are an advantage. You have strong interpersonal skills and are a natural in building networks. You have ambition and a track record in achieving goals and delivering in complex projects.
