The postholder will play key role in shaping the student experience and safeguarding the high academic standards of UCL programmes and courses. UCL’s Academic Services department (http://www.ucl.ac.uk/srs/our-services/academic-services) is responsible for a range of key operations, including: academic regulations; institutional governance; committee operations; quality review processes; student statistical data; student records; student casework.

The Head of Quality Assurance and Academic Policy is responsible for leading the Quality Assurance and Academic Policy team across the full range of its responsibilities; these include academic regulations, programme approval, annual student experience review, internal quality review, external examining, and academic partnerships. The postholder will also be Deputy to the Director of Academic Services.

You will need to demonstrate a strong track record of managing quality assurance processes and working closely with students and staff to develop academic regulations and policy. It is essential that you have leadership experience in Higher Education and/or a large and complex organisation, as well as experience of high level report writing and committee servicing.
