Project Manager (Maternity Cover)

The salary will be paid at Grade 7, £41,212 to £49,149 per annum, plus £2,623 per annum London Allowance.

This post will be Fixed Term Contract for 9 months

An exciting opportunity awaits the right candidate within this dynamic NIHR funded, London based, two-centre randomized controlled trial called the Best Services Trial (BeST?). It is the first RCT in the world comparing an intensive community mental health service with usual care. The trial is highly complex involving birth families, foster families and adoptive families, and participants are young children coming into an episode of foster care in Scotland or South London. The research team will utilize mixed-methods to develop and evaluate a complex intervention aiming to improve infant mental health in maltreated children. The trial provides a unique opportunity to evaluate an intervention aimed at improving the lives of this severely disadvantaged group of children. 

Reporting to the primary investigator of the London based research arm of this programme and other project team members, you will direct and coordinate the activities of the team, be adept at managing and overseeing multiple projects. You will have extensive experience in project management methodologies and technologies.

This is a busy, high-volume but friendly environment that will suit an organized person with a great eye for detail and plenty of energy and team spirit. 

The successful candidate will have experience in trials or project management within a research or similar environment, including experience in project progress reporting, staff and client liaison, leadership and training.

The selection process will include competency based questions and a panel interview.
