The Psychology programme at Regent’s University London is one of the most successful in the UK, offering three BPS-accredited degrees, an MSc in Marketing Psychology and a BA Liberal Arts major in Psychology. Psychology at Regent’s was ranked sixth for student satisfaction in the 2017 NSS.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, committed, and well-qualified laboratory technician in Psychology to join the team and support our teaching and research.

You will be responsible for the maintenance and management of the Psychology laboratory and testing cubicles, and for overseeing laboratory use and space generally.

You will be able to demonstrate expertise in the operation and use of Macs/PCs, of Blackboard, ePrime, SPSS, Surveymonkey, Superlab, MATLAB, QUALTRICS, and other software programmes routinely used in Psychology. Experience of BIOPAC, psychophysiology recording, and Tobii eye-tracking hardware and software would be an advantage.

You will be responsible for administering Psychology’s test library, assisting staff and students with the design of computer- based experiments, overseeing Psychology’s Experimental Participation Credit System, maintaining the general psychology area on Blackboard, providing undergraduate and postgraduate teaching support for laboratory and research-based teaching, and providing general technical support for staff and students with teaching and research.

You will have a good degree (Upper Second or First) in Psychology or a cognate discipline and have an MSc in Psychology. Some experience of having worked in HE teaching in psychology, and experience of having worked in psychology laboratories, is desirable.
