Salary: £30,770 – £34,960 per annum, pro rata

Campus: Charing Cross with occasional visits to the St Mary’s Campus in Paddington

The School for Public Health Research (SPHR) programme is currently being agreed but will focus on three school-wide priority areas including

  1. Children, Young People and Families;
  2. Places and Public Health systems and;
  3. Public Mental Health with a specific focus on strengthening evidence for service public health settings.

Inequalities, efficiency and population-level behaviour change are embedded in each research area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated person, wishing to develop a career in programme management, administration and communications and to obtain experience of working in one of the UK’s leading universities. The successful applicant will work closely with all the academic and administrative colleagues in the departments and develop strong working relationships with other Imperial staff outside the department/College.

The post holder’s role is vital for ensuring effective organisation and management of SPHR at Imperial College. The post holder will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of ad hoc projects as well as the management of research projects developing within the SPHR.

The post holder will be a member of the Department of Primary Care and Public Health (Head, Professor Azeem Majeed) in the School of Public Health (Interim Head, Professor Deborah Ashby). The aim of the Department of Primary Care and Public Health is to promote interdisciplinary research into the primary care, public health and social aspects of health and health interventions in human populations, as well as to provide a substantial training and teaching programme.

You will be educated to at least degree level, or equivalent experience in office and project management, have significant experience of working at a similar level, preferably in an institute of higher education and a strong level of expertise in using Microsoft Office applications such as: Word, Excel and Outlook as well as other ICT applications.

The appointee will be based at the Charing Cross campus (located in Hammersmith) with occasional visits to the St Mary’s Campus in Paddington, as a member of the Department of Primary Care and Public Health.

The role is part-time, 21 hours per week and fixed term until 22 March 2022 in the first instance.
