Research Analyst

University of Cambridge - Academic Division

You will support the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Enterprise and Business Relations (PVC (E&BR)) in developing, bringing forward and implementing a strategy for business engagement for the University, conducting background research and analysis, covering internal and external issues. You will also work with the PVC (E&BR) on a range of related ad hoc projects, including developing responses to Government enquiries, monitoring competitor institution activity and developing international benchmarks.

Ideally educated to PhD level, you will have extensive experience of working with businesses (especially large companies) on collaborative research projects, both single company and multi-company, multi-year projects; a general knowledge of the HE sector, and particularly of the research environment.

You will also have excellent writing skills with experience of writing papers and reports; the ability to address and communicate highly complex information to individual and groups at all levels, ranging from technical support through to senior academics and external donors; self-motivation and the ability to work independently to a given set of objectives.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 3 years in the first instance.
