This post represents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a team of staff in Keele University’s School of Geography, Geology and the Environment. Keele University is seeking to appoint a lecturer in Human Geography; the post will be available from 3rd September 2018 and will be a fixed term appointment of three years. Applications are welcomed from dynamic and enthusiastic individuals committed to high quality teaching and research in the field of Human Geography and who have interests that complement our research strengths in this area, while broadening the scope of our teaching expertise.

Candidates will be expected to contribute to the delivery of our undergraduate programmes in Geography, in addition to teaching on other related undergraduate and postgraduate degree pathways, as appropriate. The post holder will be expected to possess an excellent track record of innovative research, and will have the potential to develop and/or maintain internationally competitive research, underpinned by publications and grant success, that complements our existing research strengths in Human Geography. Applications from candidates working in all areas of Human Geography will be considered, but are particularly welcome from candidates with a strong background in Responsibility and Resilience.

The successful candidate will have a PhD in Human Geography and will have a strong commitment to delivering high quality undergraduate teaching, including supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, and the delivery of field courses. The post holder will have the skills, enthusiasm and flexibility for teaching across a wide range of Geography topics, and will contribute to recruitment activities and administrative duties within our Geography programmes.

The successful candidate will join the growing and highly successful School of Geography, Geology and the Environment, which has a thriving, expanding Geography section that has a strong commitment to, and nationally leading reputation in, delivering high quality research and educational programmes in Geography, Human Geography and Physical Geography.
