Administrator (Part Time)

University of Oxford - Russian and Eurasian Studies Centre

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administrator in the Russian and Eurasian Studies Centre at St Antony’s College, Oxford.  The ‘University Consortium’ programme, funded by Carnegie Corporation of New York, brings together six universities in the United States, Europe and Russia. This inter-regional academic network promotes training, research, engagement and policy outreach on Euro-Atlantic issues critical to resolving the crisis in Russia-West relations.

St Antony's College is one of the seven graduate colleges of the University of Oxford. The College specialises in the inter-disciplinary study of international relations, economics, politics and history of particular parts of the world. The Russian and Eurasian Studies Centre is a major component of research on Russia, Ukraine, the Caucasus and Central Asia at Oxford University.

The Administrator will be responsible for all administrative tasks required to support the activities of the University Consortium (UC). Duties include liaising regularly with UC members; making venue, travel and catering arrangements; recording financial transactions, and dealing with enquiries.

The successful candidate must have sound administrative experience, including organising events and making travel arrangements; be well-organised and able to liaise with a wide variety of people in other countries. An excellent level of numeracy and experience of maintaining financial records will be essential. Some knowledge of the current crisis in Russia-EU_US relations would be desirable.

This is a fixed term post until 31 December 2019. The post is part-time (17.5 hours per week). There is flexibility in the working pattern, to be agreed with the UC Principal Investigator.

Further particulars and details of how to apply may be found in the documents on the St Antony's College website.

The closing date for applications is noon on 7 May 2018
