Campaign Projects Officer

University of Reading - Campaigns & Supporter Engagement

The Campaigns and Supporter Engagement Office builds and manages relationships with a wide range of external supporters including alumni and internally with numerous academic and non-academic departments. The Campaigns and Supporter Engagement Office is tasked with raising significant levels of philanthropic support for the University's teaching, learning and research functions through the IMAGINE Campaign.

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, the post-holder will have responsibility for leading on the identification and evaluation of ‘Campaign Projects’ and significant new initiatives across the University that could attract philanthropic support. Working with 'Campaign Project' leads (e.g. Deans, Academics, Directors and Heads of Schools) the post-holder will be responsible for developing Campaign and project-specific 'Cases for Support' and success stories demonstrating the impact of philanthropic giving.

You will have:

  • Strong communication skills, in particular a proven ability to summarise project information in written form and experience of copy writing.
  • Strong relationship building skills.
  • Strong administrative, planning and organisational skills.
  • Working with senior/eminent individuals.
  • Interpreting and representing complex information for a lay audience.
  • Experience of producing clear written information and reports for colleagues and different audiences.
