Dean of Innovation and Business - G837

This is an exciting leadership opportunity in one of the UK’s elite research-intensive Russell Group Universities as it launches a new Strategy that is aligned with the political imperative to generate economic impact.

The Dean will work across all three Faculties to catalyse links between academic and commercial partners that enhance both R&D and skills provision, and deploy a portfolio of newly allocated external funds in support of commercial translation and business engagement. The successful candidate will report directly to the University Executive Board and be supported by an operational Business Development and Enterprise team.

Candidates must have an understanding of the higher education sector but will bring a perspective to complement that of the senior management team, for example gained from experience as an entrepreneur, in commercial employment, or as an academic who collaborates actively with business partners.
