The Division of Nursing in the School of Health Sciences is one of London’s longest-established providers of health care education and delivers high quality undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. It has a strong core of experienced academics who lead and participate in a broad programme of world-leading and internationally excellent research in mental health, acute and critical care, long term conditions, child health and care of the older person. The Division works in partnership with service users and carers alongside health and social care experts and providers to develop and deliver education and research which shapes future nurse leaders.

Responsibilities

The Division is seeking to appoint an outstanding academic to join the established Mental Health team.

The appointed Lecturer or Senior Lecturer will contribute to research and undergraduate and postgraduate education in mental health with a focus on people with complex long term mental and physical health problems, including substance use and with a focus on recovery

Person Specification

The successful candidate will have a doctorate and registration with the NMC as a mental health nurse. He or she must have the ability and commitment to educate and supervise at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. A record of producing world-leading or internationally excellent research is essential. Applications from job share candidates are welcome and secondment opportunities will be considered.
