Research Grant Administrator

University of Cambridge - Department of Surgery

The Division of Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery is part of the Department of Surgery and we are seeking to appoint a Research Grant Administrator (Part Time, Fixed Term) to support Professor Andrew McCaskie (Director of Centre) and co-investigators in the day-to-day activities of the Arthritis Research UK Tissue Engineering Centre.

The role holder will assist the Director in ensuring that the Centre (which includes co-investigators at the University of Aberdeen, University of Keele, Newcastle University and the University of York) is actively managed through to completion in accordance with sponsors terms and conditions.

This is a part time post (0.6 FTE). The post holder should be educated to A Level (or equivalent) standard with GCSE English Language and Mathematics (or equivalent). Excellent IT skills including database management and experience of website design and maintenance using wordpress is essential. You must have good interpersonal and communication skills and administrative experience, ideally within an academic setting.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 3 April 2021 in the first instance.
