City seeks to recruit an experienced Executive Assistant to provide administrative support to the Head of Engineering and to members of the Engineering Programme Leadership Team.

Responsibilities
The Executive Assistant will provide support to the Head of Engineering, and, more widely, to members of the Engineering Programme Leadership team (The Head of Engineering, Programme Directors and Admissions Tutors). The role will involve managing and prioritising the schedules and communicating with members of the team, and will act as first point of contact for internal and external enquiries.

In addition there will be a broad range of operational tasks including purchasing, expense claims, annual leave requests and other approvals; processing visiting lecturer contracts and chasing payments; absence recording; appraisals; monitoring of time, cost and quality metrics in respect of programme delivery; recruitment of visiting staff and tutors; organisation of, and record-keeping, for meetings and organising programme-related functions and events.

Person Specification
You will have extensive experience as an Executive Assistant at a high level and managing a wide ranging workload with competing demands. You will be used to working autonomously with limited direction, which will require the need to exercise initiative and judgment in order to address and resolve daily problems. You will have excellent communication and organisation skills with a high level of proficiency in developing and maintain spreadsheets to manage complex tasks.
