About the role

Our newly established School of Human Sciences within the College of Life and Natural Sciences is looking to appoint an inspirational Head of Discipline for Biomedical and Forensic Science.  You will be responsible for strengthening the discipline’s regional, civic and commercial engagement and provide a strategic link between the Head of School and the academic groups responsible for delivery of teaching, research and enterprise.  You will be involved in all aspects of resource planning and development of Biomedical and Forensic Sciences.   You must have excellent leadership and management skills with exceptional communication skills and proven ability to motivate and develop others.   Evidence of establishing strong external networks is essential as is the ability to build mutually beneficial partnerships.  You must have a PhD in an area relevant to Biomedical or Forensic Science and be a fellow the HEA. Experience of effective working with professional bodies is important and we would particularly welcome applicants with experience of IBMS accreditation and establishing clinical links within hospital settings.
