The Nicola Murray Centre for Ovarian Cancer Research (NMCOCR), part of the Institute of Genetics and Molecular Medicine (IGMM) is looking to recruit a Data Manager. This person will take on an active role in maintaining the Edinburgh Ovarian Cancer Database, a resource that holds over 30 years of ovarian cancer data, and is used by clinicians and scientists. The new post holder will primarily continue collecting and curating future ovarian cancer data for inclusion on the database.

The post holder will work with nursing staff, clinicians and scientists, at all levels, within the NMCOCR, the wider IGMM and the Western General Hospital and will take an active role in all aspects of the post. This will include the collection, curation, quality control and up loading of clinical data. As well as aiding the clinical team, in preparation for routine clinics, and the scientific team, in their ongoing ovarian cancer research.

This post offers a unique opportunity for a suitably qualified person to utilise their experience and interest in data management and ovarian cancer in a combined clinical and scientific approach to ovarian cancer research.
