Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice (5-year MPharm Programme Director)

The School of Pharmacy at the University of Birmingham offers a successful, clinically-orientated, fully accredited 4-year MPharm and postgraduate Certificate in Independent Prescribing. We are now launching our 5-year MPharm and are expanding the staff to support these developments and to augment our already world leading research. The School of Pharmacy has excellent administrative support and is closely integrated with partner professions in the College, including medicine, dentistry and nursing and has excellent collaborative links with local professional practice in all sectors, in which teaching and research is ongoing.

The post will involve the development and delivery of teaching initiatives in pharmacy practice (clinical pharmacy, clinical pharmacology or therapeutics will also be considered) on the School programmes with specific emphasis on the 5-year MPharm programme: the post will also involve development of research into and active participation in one of these disciplines.

A significant management role will be to act as  the Programme Director for this new programme.

The post holder will have a PhD in a relevant discipline and educational qualifications and professional experience relevant to a Pharmacy environment or related discipline

Starting salary is normally in the range £39,993 TO £47,722
