Lecturer in Project Management

Robert Gordon University

HOURS: 35.00 hours per week

Robert Gordon University is a leading modern university, renowned for the employability of its graduates and holder of a Gold Award in TEF.

The Department of People, Organisations and Practice sits within Aberdeen Business School (ABS) which has recently been accredited by AACSB International - the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the longest-serving global accrediting body for business schools, and the largest business education network connecting students, educators and businesses worldwide. AACSB Accreditation inspires new ways of thinking within business education globally and as a result, has only been earned by less than 5% of the world’s business schools. Aberdeen Business School is one of only four institutions in Scotland to hold AACSB accreditation, as well as one of only 810 universities across 53 countries. The professionally-focused Business School has a strong reputation for innovative and flexible online and on-campus courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, which have a global reach.

Building on this success, ABS is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, permanent Lecturer in Project Management. The successful candidate will contribute to a thriving Business School primarily through lecturing at undergraduate and graduate levels.

The Department of Management at Robert Gordon University is highly research active, with research priorities covering Energy, Entrepreneurship, Human Resource Management, Operations and Project Management, and Public Policy. The research undertaken by staff is recognised as being internationally excellent or world class. The Department of Management has a thriving doctoral community offering both PhD and DBA programmes.

Salary on appointment will be dependent upon experience. Candidates with limited/no lecturing experience will be placed on the first point of the scale, although consideration will be given to a market supplement (reviewed bi-annually) for those with specific industry experience.
