Salary:

Lecturer - £34,520 - £37,706 per annum

Senior Lecturer - £38,833 - £47,722 per annum

The Faculty of Business and Law is part of a thriving University that was recently awarded Gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework. Portsmouth Law School is an ambitious and fast-growing School. It currently comprises 32 members of staff (FTE).  Many members of staff are professionally qualified and the School has strong links with the legal profession and with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.

Portsmouth Law School is an established provider of undergraduate and postgraduate law degrees and has a growing reputation for the breadth of its clinical legal education.  We have a thriving and supportive research culture that will encourage the successful candidate to pursue their research ambitions.

We have two positions at Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level. Applications are invited from candidates with the proven ability to teach at least one of the foundations of legal knowledge subjects. We have particular needs in European Union Law, Criminal Law and Land Law.

The School would welcome applications from those who have a strong track record in research.  You will be expected to make a significant contribution to Portsmouth Law School’s research profile and knowledge exchange activities, including the growing employability agenda.  You will have drive and enthusiasm and an innovative approach to research, learning and teaching.
