Research Funding Manager

We are looking for an excellent project manager to join the Research Team in the Medical Sciences Divisional Office. As the Research Funding Manager, you will have wide-ranging responsibility for research policy and administration with a primary responsibility for managing a portfolio of internal research funding schemes totalling more than £3m/yr on behalf of the University. You will have the opportunity to shape the delivery of this important area and take responsibility for significant elements of the work including as secretary to University-wide committees.

You will have excellent project management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to exercise sound and measured judgement and discretion. Outstanding organisational skills are essential, as is the ability to handle the demanding and varied workload. The role offers the opportunity to engage with the breadth of research activity that takes place across Oxford and develop an understanding of how to facilitate research.

This is a permanent, full-time position, but part-time (minimum 0.8 FTE) would be considered.
