Research Associate (Fixed Term)

University of Cambridge - Cambridge Institute for Medical Research - Medicine

**Cell stress pathways and mesothelioma**

We are seeking an ambitious post-doctoral research associate to join the Marciniak lab in the CIMR (http://www.cimr.cam.ac.uk) to study cell stress pathways in mesothelioma. The post is at research associate (post-doc) level and so a PhD in a relevant discipline is essential. Experience in either cell biology or biochemistry is required.

The Marciniak lab combines cell biology, biochemistry, and translational medicine to understand the role of cell stress signalling in human disease (http://www.med.cam.ac.uk/marciniak/). The successful applicant will undertake projects to elucidate the biology of mesothelioma so that recent advances in nanotechnology can be turned into new therapies.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 30 months in the first instance.

Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a health assessment.
