Head of Careers & Employability Service

This keystone position presents you with the opportunity to shape and implement activities that help ensure that KU graduates are sought after by employers of all sizes. You will head up a team of staff which focuses on working with staff students and employers.

You will be able to use your knowledge of the sector to provide strategic leadership of the Careers and Employability Service embedding support for employability across the university.

Your strong interpersonal skills will enable you to work collaboratively with colleagues across the university and beyond to increase the professional experience opportunities available to students as well as services that enable students to secure graduate level employment.

This is a full time permanent Grade 10 role and has a salary band between £51488 - £59289 per annum.

The Person

You will have substantial knowledge of employability in higher education and a desire to make a positive difference to the success of our students at an operational and strategic level. To succeed you will have a broad range of skills: You will be numerate have strong written presentation and IT skills as well as the imagination to create initiatives which have impact and the ability to stop those that do not. You will be flexible driven by results want to contribute to creating a centre of excellence and be motivated by working in a busy dynamic environment and variety in your role.
