We are seeking to appoint a Health & Safety Manager to co-ordinate, support and advise the Schools within the Faculty of Science on all aspects of Health and Safety compliance. Working closely with senior management, Heads of Schools and the University’s Safety Services, the position will ensure the development and promotion of a positive and visible safety culture within the Faculty.
The role requires an individual with demonstrable experience and skills in managing health, safety and compliance in a dynamic scientific environment.
The ideal candidate will have recent and relevant experience in a similar scientific role and have an NEBOSH Diploma and GRADIOSH or working towards CMIOSH and be able to fulfil all the essential elements of the person specification.
This appointment will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
The post is available immediately on a full-time, indefinite basis.
