Main Purpose of the Post

The University is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced higher education professional with a proven track record in international student recruitment and marketing.  The post holder will make a significant contribution towards achieving Swansea University’s stretching international student recruitment targets, ensuring that outcomes are aligned to the University’s strategic aim of becoming a UK top 30 university.

The post holder will join our International Development Office and will lead a small team responsible for recruitment and marketing activities in a specified global region(s). Utilising their professional expertise, the post holder will advise Heads of College, Directors and other senior managers on business development opportunities. They will continually evaluate their own impact, that of their team and of the overall function in order to achieve continuous improvement and to drive sustainable performance.

Professionalism, flexibility, self-motivation and a determination to succeed are essential. Candidates will hold a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), have applicable international marketing and recruitment experience, and ideally, a relevant postgraduate qualification. They should also demonstrate sound business acumen, strategic thinking and have proven ability to deliver objectives within the competitive HE environment, working with sensitivity, tact and diplomacy.
