Under new management the Union is making great strides to improving its presence on campus, which includes moving into a new space on campus that will allow us to be more student-facing, and ensuring the Union is a sustainable and effective organization.

Responsibilities
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Academic Representation & Democracy Coordinator to join our Membership Services team. The role will lead on the support and delivery of our Programme Representation system, which is delivered in partnership with the University. The post-holder will support and develop students to proactively seek changes to their institution for the enhancement of education and student experience, whilst also playing a key role in highlighting the Students’ Union's academic impact. They will also support the democracy of our organisation, helping to ensure that students are able to engage in our elections and democratic structures.

Person Specification
The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge and experience of academic issues, structures and regulations; have knowledge of the Higher Education sector and the issues currently affecting students and institutions; experience of supporting and developing volunteers.
