A funded position is available working in the area of bio-organometallic chemistry in the research group of Dr Nicolas P. E. Barry within the Department of Chemistry at the University of Bradford. The project is focused on the understanding of the anticancer properties of electron-deficient metal complexes. 

You will be proficient in organometallic synthesis such that you are able to undertake electron-deficient precious metal complex synthesis as well as fully characterise the compounds. You will have experience in cell biology such that you are able to evaluate the in vitro cytotoxicity of these molecules.

You will be able to demonstrate your ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team. The position is available immediately. You will also have excellent people skills and be able to collaborate with/teach other group members to perform synthesis and characterisation across the scope of the project. In addition to a high level of practical skills you will be able to operate and maintain equipment relevant to your work and to train others in doing so.

You will have completed (or be soon to complete) a PhD or equivalent in a relevant field.
