Leeds College of Music is seeking to appoint an Associate Director of Undergraduate Studies.

Leeds College of Music is at a crucial stage of development and this newly created role of Associate Director is an exciting opportunity for a creative individual with extensive leadership experience in Higher Education. 2016-17 has been a transformational year for Leeds College of Music, seeing an expansion in our student numbers, course provision, artistic output, and our physical estate.

Leeds College of Music is a leading European conservatoire with over 1,200 Higher Education students studying a wide variety of music pathways with two new ones, Musical Theatre and Acting, commencing in 2019 and 2020 respectively. We have introduced a School of Pop and Production and a School of Performance to manage our ambitious and growing portfolio. Answering to the Director of Curriculum, the Associate Director will nurture these two schools and be fundamental in realising our strategic ambitions to have Taught Degree Awarding Powers, be TEF Gold, and to achieve the Investors in People kitemark.

The successful candidate will be an inspirational and innovative leader with the ability to build relationships and motivate staff at all levels. Educated to at least degree level, with significant University or conservatoire academic management and leadership experience, the successful candidate will become a key collaborator in the conservatoire’s management team.
