The Bodleian Libraries are seeking a proactive team player to join the Staff Development team as a part-time Administrator.

Staff Development is responsible for providing a comprehensive range of learning and development activities that support the development of all staff enabling them to be successful in their roles. Working as a part of a small and busy team that delivers over 250 courses annually, ranging from library skills workshops to first aid courses and ‘Explore’ tours of different libraries and departments, your role will be integral to the successful delivery of the range of services currently provided by the Staff Development team.

You will organise, manage and prioritise a varied and busy workload and coordinate a wide range of training programmes with minimal supervision. You will liaise with trainers and delegates, manage bookings, adverts and post course evaluations, book rooms, equipment and catering and issue joining instructions.

You will have previous administrative experience, ideally in a training or events management role or similar, and be familiar with the key processes involved in administering courses and events. You will have good interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate with a diverse customer base and be highly organised, self-motivated and detail-orientated.

This role requires some manual handling – setting up training rooms – and also occasional food handling for courses or events.

This is a permanent, part-time post working 20 hours per week (0.55 FTE), the hours of which are flexible and will be agreed with the successful candidate.
