Clinical Trial Co-ordinator

The appointment will be on UCL Grade 7.

Interventional clinical trials in rheumatology (inflammatory arthritis and autoimmune rheumatic disease) have been established at UCL/UCLH since 2011. The team has grown from one research nurse in 2011 to a team of 8 including three research nurses, two trial coordinators, a data manager and a clinical fellow supported by Professors Ehrenstein and Isenberg. The role will focus on coordinating studies that are underway in the Joint and Related Inflammatory Diseases Translational Research Collaboration (TRC), and supporting the local set up of TRC studies.

The successful candidate may also work on non-TRC studies within inflammatory arthritis and lupus.

The post is funded until August 2019 in the first instance.

The role holder will have experience of study coordination in the NHS/academia, including observational and interventional clinical trials as well as good organisational skills, ability to manage databases, strong data handling skills and input data, GCP certificate, and good financial skills to ensure studies are invoiced appropriately.
