Reporting to the Head of Collections, Digital Innovation & Learning Services, the Digital Services Manager will provide the strategic lead and the effective delivery of the University’s digital library services. Ensuring that academic staff and students can discover, access and use resources when, where and how they want to now and anticipating future needs.

The post holder will lead and manage the Digital Services Team which consists of eight colleagues, who are responsible for - the creation of digital resources; copyright compliance; provision and licensing of electronic resources; enhancing engagement with the University’s research and learning environment; and for the collection of engagement data to support future planning of resources and services. Ensuring the work of the team is coordinated and aligned with that of Gateway Services, Collection Services and Learning Services to deliver a service that meets the needs of the University, its students and staff, and will work closely with other managers in LSS to ensure the integration and effectiveness of collections services. You will be expected to visit the other three campuses on rotation which are located in Epsom, Rochester, and Canterbury.
