A Postdoctoral Research Associate Position is available funded by the Wellcome Trust, to study the nanoscale organisation of human immune cell surfaces by super-resolution fluorescence microscopy.

The project will be based in Prof. Dan Davis’s laboratory in The University of Manchester and involves using super-resolution fluorescence microscope technologies (PALM, STORM, STED and others) to study fundamental aspects of molecular recognition by human Natural Killer cells. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-equipped multidisciplinary team using novel and state-of-the-art microscopy to understand the immune cell biology in health and disease. You should have a PhD or equivalent level of professional qualification and experience. Experience in fluorescence microscopy, and ideally super-resolution microscopy, or immune cell biology will be advantageous but full training is available. The post is available for up to 3 years.
