Global Mobility Co-ordinator (Part Time, Fixed Term)

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 12 months in the first instance.

The HR Division is seeking to recruit a part-time (50%) Global Mobility Co-ordinator who will lead the support provided by HR on international working arrangements, reporting to the Resourcing Manager.  This is a new post which will contribute to the development and effective application of international working policy across the University.

This role will support the development of procedures and guidance which will deliver the best approach to managing international working, ensuring that the processes followed to place staff globally follow best practice principles but can be tailored to meet each country's requirements.  The roleholder will work with HR business teams, their institutions and staff in relevant central service functions to provide specialist advice and take forward the international placement of staff.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level (or demonstrate an equivalent level of professional experience) and have comprehensive knowledge and previous experience within the field of international assignments (either global mobility or expatriate management), with a good understanding of the assignment lifecycle from start to finish as well as relevant employment law.

Additionally, you will have proven ability in engaging and collaborating with key stakeholders, peers and senior colleagues, together with strong communication (written and verbal), organisational and time management skills. A high standard of IT literacy, including excellent Microsoft Office skills, and numeracy are essential.
