The appointment will be on UCL Grade 7.

The Translational Nanomedicines group at the UCL School of Pharmacy is focused on the development of nanomedicines for clinical applications.

The position is part of a EPSRC Program Grant (RaNT - developing the targeted diagnostics and therapeutics of the future by combining light and functionalised nanoparticles) aimed at the development of the next generation of anti-cancer nanomedicines in a consortium with colleagues at University of Cambridge, STFC Rutherford Appleton Laboratory Oxford, University of Exeter and colleagues at UCL.

You will contribute to the design and implementation of the research project in the following areas a) development of defined in vivo model systems, b) nanoparticle / ligand selection and characterisation, and c) the characterisation of nanoparticle targeting.

This post is available for 2 years in the first instance.

You will have PhD level training in Nanomedicine/Drug Delivery/Pharmaceutical nanotechnology with experience in a broad range of methods ranging from chemistry/physical chemistry to biological characterisation including in vivo models.
