Research Assistant (Part Time)

Job Purpose
To make a contribution to the project "The History of British Humanism 1896-2021" working with Prof. Callum Brown (PI, University of Glasgow) and Professor David Nash (CI, Oxford Brookes University) to a remit for Humanists UK (formerly the British Humanist Association), with the aim of producing a book for a popular and academic readership. The research will also lead to knowledge exchange work with Humanists UK and associated organisations. The appointee will work independently in research and writing research reports, but collaboratively with the PI and CI in identifying sources, planning research, and delivering impact presentations and documents.

Standard Terms & Conditions
Salary will be on the University's Research and Teaching Grade 6, £28,098 - £31,604 (Pro Rata) per annum.

This position has funding for up to two years in the first instance.

New entrants to the University will be required to serve a probationary period of 6 months.

The successful applicant will be eligible to join the Universities' Superannuation Scheme. Further information regarding the scheme is available from the Superannuation Officer, who is also prepared to advise on questions relating to the transfer of Superannuation benefits.

All research and related activities, including grants, donations, clinical trials, contract research, consultancy and commercialisation are required to be managed through the University's relevant processes (e.g. contractual and financial), in accordance with the University Court's policies.
