The University was named Scottish University of the Year 2024, by The Times & Sunday Times and has been awarded the prestigious Queen’s Anniversary Prize for the sixth time. We are a world top 100 university for the sixth year in a row and a member of the prestigious Russell Group of leading UK research universities.

We are delivering against the United Nation’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and are ranked in the top 20 universities in the QS World Sustainability Rankings. We have pledged to be carbon neutral by 2030 and were the first European university to declare it would divest from fossil fuels by 2024, and were fully divested by September 2023.
